What it can process
The review export and the instructions you provide. Depending on your file, that can include review text, ratings, dates, app versions, developer replies, app or store labels, and public reviewer names or identifiers. It also processes your questions and writes the analysis in the chat.
OpenAI, as the host, may handle file names, file metadata, account information and ordinary platform metadata under its own policies. The plugin doesn’t need store credentials, API keys, developer-console access or payment details. Don’t supply them.
Why it’s used
To parse and organize the reviews, find evidence-backed patterns and customer language, compare labelled sets, answer your question and show the limits of the sample. The skills-only package sends none of it outside the selected OpenAI host.
Who receives it
The OpenAI host processes what it needs to run the chat and return the analysis, under the product, account and workspace settings that apply to you. In a managed workspace, its administrators may control or access data under the workspace agreement and settings.
The skills-only package makes no outbound request, so no separate endpoint receives your export, prompt or result through it.
Retention
Because nothing is sent outside the selected OpenAI host, the skills-only package creates no separate copy of its inputs or results. This doesn’t cover anything you choose to send separately by email.
OpenAI controls retention for content in ChatGPT or Codex. The period depends on the product, your account or workspace, your settings and actions such as deleting a chat or file. Check OpenAI’s current chat and file retention policy rather than relying on a fixed period stated here.
Your controls
Supply only reviews you’re permitted to use. Remove unnecessary personal, confidential or sensitive information before uploading, and leave identifiers out of the export when the analysis doesn’t need them.
Use your OpenAI account or workspace controls to manage chats, files, model-improvement preferences, exports and deletion. OpenAI explains the current options in Data controls in ChatGPT. Controls can vary by plan and workspace.
